Carolyn Pearce Magdeburger, age 89, died peacefully in her sleep on August 20, 2014. Due to declining health over the past two years, Carolyn was living at Garnet Hill nursing home in Wylie, TX. Previously, Carolyn resided in her home in Austin, TX, for 30 years. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Paul Edward Magdeburger. Carolyn is survived by her four children, Karen Olander, Edward Magdeburger, Nancy Chaney, and Thomas Magdeburger. Carolyn was born to Edith Underwood Pearce and Clarence “Pop” Pearce on March 11, 1925 in Washington, D.C. A funeral service will be held at Gasch’s Funeral Home, P.A. in Hyattsville, MD, at 5 PM on August 25, 2014.
