On Tuesday, May 10th, 2016, age 89, of Huntingtown, MD, formerly of Bowie, MD. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor “Jackie” Taylor. Loving father of Donna (Ronald) Kinsey, John (Patricia) Koon, Shannon Hall, Brad (Barbara) Taylor and Mandy (Kenny) Storm. Endearing grandfather of Angela Thumann, Stephanie O’Neal, Donna Svacil, Melissa Van Meter, Kristine St. Peter, Jennifer Koon, Johnnie Koon, Jr., Candice Zeller, Dustin Storm, Brian Taylor and Brittany Taylor; great grandfather of Lauren and Ashley Thumann, Brianna Spicknall, James Miller, Emily Spicknall, Colleen Zeller, Jacob St. Peter, Steven Petrone, Lucas St. Peter, Nicholas Petrone, CJ Koon, Joshua and Alexander Zeller. Brother of Patricia Carder. Preceding him in death were his parents, George “Ham” and Laura Alice Taylor, sisters Virginia Clevenger and Mary Pitts, brother Claude Taylor, and granddaughter Lori Roberts. Born in Akron, Ohio, JT’s family moved to Salem, WV when he was four. In 1962 he moved to the State of Maryland and resided in Accokeek, Hyattsville, Bowie and Huntingtown. Friends may call at Gasch’s Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD on Thursday, May 12th from 6-8 pm where a service will be held on Friday, May 13th at 10:30 am. Interment Maryland National Memorial Park.
